So I’m reading something new… ‘Mastering Audio: The Art and the Science’ by Bob Katz. I’ve finally got my hands on it after waiting 3 weeks for it to be delivered by Amazon!
Some real in-depth technical information in here… not for the uninformed! I’m only on page 50 of around 300 but my knowledge is broadening page by page.

I am in the process of setting up a brand new project geared towards classical music recording. There is still a lot of work left to do but the basic idea is down. Once the business plan is changed in terms of pricing etc then hopefully the project will really get going.

Last Thursday I received a phone call from a friend Pete Mycroft asking if I was available to sound engineer for a gig the following day. The previous sound engineer had pulled out last minute, allowing me the opportunity to take their place. My friend Chris Wilkinson also helped out.
